SAMSUNG #MISSINGMASTERPIECES
We discovered there’s more art missing around the world than what is displayed in all the world’s museums combined! As the Samsung Frame TV doubles as an art frame, we wanted to use the TV, and social media, to help bring lost art back for the world to see.
Together, with a world-leading art crime historian, we created Missing Masterpieces, the world’s first art exhibition for finding lost art. Exhibiting a collection of 12 iconic lost artworks on Samsung TVs in homes, on social and online. Then, we invited the world to help find these lost treasures. We partnered with ARCA - an art crime detective agency, to follow leads through the Missing Masterpieces hotline.
Results: We engaged 36 European Countries & while the campaign was live police arrested a man in suspicion of stealing Van Gogh’s ‘The Parsonage Garden at Nuenen in Spring’
